In the last few years, national and local media have reported on the council run sites in Hackney and Newham which were relocated because of the Olympics. When appropriate, site residents have represented themselves in print and broadcast media Television and radio news reports are not easy to access but ITV London, BBC TV London, BBC Radio London and Rokker Radio all reported several events in 2006 – 2008.
To access print articles which give reasonably accurate reports, type Travellers Olympics into the websites of The Guardian, Observer, Times Education Supplement, and Waltham Forest Guardian. All have several articles published over a period of time and are useful if you are researching the history of the land acquisition for the Olympics.
